Installation and wiring

  Do not connect the transmitter to a voltage higher than 24VDC.

  Refer to the product appearance and dimension diagram in Figure 1 to install the equipment。

  Install the transmitter in the location where it needs to be tested, away from the heat source or steam source, and prevent direct sunlight. When wiring a circuit, connect the wires to the wiring terminals to ensure that the wiring is correct and firm.

Wiring Instructions:

  • Interface Description:

  • From right to left, numbered 1-7, defined as follows:

  • 1. +12V; 2. GND; 3. RS485A; 4. RS485B; 5. I1/V1; 6. I2/V2; 7. TCP/IP

  • Communication protocol section:

  • In the RTU mode using MODBUS protocol, message sending should start with a pause interval of at least 3.5 characters when using RTU mode. When the first domain (address domain) receives it, each device decodes it to determine whether it is being sent to itself. After the last transmitted character, a pause of at least 3.5 characters marks the end of the message. A new message can start after this pause. The entire message frame must be transmitted as a continuous stream. If there is a pause time of more than 3.5 characters before the completion of the message frame, the receiving device will refresh the incomplete message and assume that the next byte is the address field of a new message.

  • 1. The hardware adopts RS485, master-slave half duplex communication, where the host calls the slave address and the slave responds for communication.

  • 2. Data frame format: 1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no checksum bit.

  • 3. Baud rate: 9600bps.

  • 4. The message frame includes: address domain, function code domain, data domain, and CRC16 detection domain.

  • 5. This device supports hexadecimal 03H and 06H function codes (i.e. decimal 03 and 06 function codes). 03H is used to read the device stack, and 06H is used to modify the device stack.

Precautions for use:

(1) The RS485 communication line requires shielded twisted pair cables, and if necessary, two 250 Ω terminals with matching resistors are required.

(2) The usage environment should be free of conductive dust, corrosive metals, and gases that damage insulation, avoiding direct sunlight and rain.

(3) Working for a long time in high humidity environments above 90% RH will cause drift.

(4) Avoid placing components in environments with salt spray, acidic or oxidizing gases (such as sulfur dioxide, hydrochloric acid, etc.).
